Police Seize Vehicle Carrying Liquor, Rice, and Oil During Rastriya Swatantra Party Campaign in Salyan

Kathmandu. Police have impounded a vehicle used in the Rastriya Swatantra Party's (RSP) election campaign after liquor, rice, and oil were found inside it. DSP Dr. Hem KC of Salyan told Ratopati that the vehicle was taken into custody while traveling from Sallibazar towards Khaira in Salyan.

The Bolero jeep with license plate Karnali Province-01-018 Cha 0429 was seized by the police on Monday morning. The police recovered 7 cartons of liquor, 2 cartons of beer, 2 sacks of rice, and 3 cartons of cooking oil from the vehicle.

Police also recovered RSP flags, banners, and a sound system. DSP Dr. KC stated that the vehicle was impounded because it was found campaigning while carrying liquor and foodstuffs in violation of the election code of conduct.
