According to information provided to the BBC by a local resident of Tehran, the sound of the explosion spread fear across the city. The resident stated, 'There is a heavy presence of security personnel on the streets, but most places appear deserted.'

Commenting on the mood and political situation of the Iranian people, the resident added, 'My biggest fear is whether America will make any kind of deal with the current Iranian leadership. Khamenei's death alone is not enough; all officials of this regime must be removed from power.'
