CPN-UML Deputy General Secretary Links KP Sharma Oli's Election Outcome to National Victory or Defeat

Jhapa. CPN-UML Deputy General Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai stated that the victory or defeat of party Chairman KP Sharma Oli in the upcoming elections is linked not only to UML but to the victory or defeat of the entire nation. While inaugurating an election corner meeting and a motorcycle rally in Geuria, Kamal Rural Municipality, under Jhapa Constituency No. 5, Bhattarai claimed that Nepali nationalism and self-respect can only be secured under Oli's leadership.

He mentioned that Oli's loss would mean the weakening of Nepali identity and pride, and called for the victory of nationalist forces. Recalling Jhapa as a sacred site for the Nepali communist movement and a district that played a role in its revival, Bhattarai said that the message emanating from here holds nationwide significance.

He discussed the development model in Jhapa Constituency No. 5 as a nationwide example and expressed confidence that voters in this constituency would again choose nationalist leadership. He argued that Oli's victory is indispensable for the nation's welfare as UML is currently leading the nationalist forces.

Stating that now is not the time to debate internal party matters and responsibility sharing, Deputy General Secretary Bhattarai directed all leaders and cadres to unite and engage in the electoral battle. He emphasized that everyone must work from their respective positions—whether in the organization, parliament, or local level—to ensure the party's victory.

He clarified that the main necessity now is to set aside mutual differences, make UML the leading force, and uphold the flag of Nepali identity high.
