Trump Urges Iranian People and Security Forces to Overthrow Religious Leadership

Washington D.C. - US President Donald Trump has called on the Iranian people and security forces to end the country's religious leadership.

In a video message, he stated, 'When we are done, you take over your government. This may be the only chance for your generation.' Furthermore, Trump warned members of the Iranian security forces that if they keep their weapons, they will not be guaranteed protection and will face death.

According to the people and human rights groups, Iranian security forces cracked down on nationwide protests in the early days of January, resulting in the deaths of at least 6,480 people.

Trump had warned at that time that those responsible would pay a heavy price and stated that aid was coming to the protesters. However, a few days later, President Trump announced that he had received assurances from the Iranian government that killings would stop and noted that his focus had shifted to the country's nuclear program.
