Man Hacked to Death with Machete in Dhanusha, Nepal; Love Affair Suspected

Janakpur. A young man has been murdered by being attacked with a machete in Dhanusha. Police stated that Sumit Mandal, a resident of Hanshpur Municipality Ward No.-9, died after being attacked with a sharp weapon in Aurahi Rural Municipality Ward No.-6 of the district.

According to Dhanusha's Police Chief Rugma Kunwar, information about the incident was received around 4 PM on Thursday. A police team dispatched to the scene subsequently began an investigation.

According to the preliminary investigation by the police, the deceased Mandal reportedly had a love affair with a young woman. Police suspect the incident may have occurred due to this matter. However, the police clarified that the exact cause of the incident is yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.

Mandal's body has been sent to the hospital for a post-mortem examination. Police have stated they will release detailed information about the incident soon.
