India Dominates Zimbabwe by 72 Runs in T20 World Cup Super 8 Clash

Kathmandu. In the T20 World Cup Super 8 stage match held on Thursday, India defeated Zimbabwe by a massive margin of 72 runs.

Batting first, India posted a huge total of 256 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. In India's innings, Abhishek Sharma contributed a half-century with 55 runs off 30 balls. Similarly, Hardik Pandya remained unbeaten with 50 runs off 23 balls and Tilak Varma remained unbeaten with 44 runs off 16 balls, guiding the team towards a massive total.

Chasing the huge target of 257 runs, Zimbabwe could only manage 184 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs. For Zimbabwe, Brian Bennett played an excellent unbeaten innings of 97 runs off 59 balls, but it was not enough to secure victory for the team. Sikandar Raza added 31 runs off 21 balls and Tadiwanashe Marumani added 20 runs off 20 balls.

With this, India won the match by 72 runs.
