Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa Calls for Mandate to Lead Nation for Five Years

Banke. Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has stated that the mandate to run the country for five years should be given to the Congress. He mentioned that after the upcoming elections, the country needs to be moved forward through work.

Addressing an election rally organized today in Banke's Janki Rural Municipality-3, President Thapa made these remarks while requesting voters to go door-to-door and ask for votes for the 'Rukh' (Tree symbol).

Addressing the voters of Banke, Thapa mentioned that the Congress vehicle would run at full speed on the highway of the constitution created by the late Sushil Koirala. He stated that for good governance, the Congress must work in an 'extraordinary' manner for the next 5 years.

Saying that he would investigate corruption cases since BS 2046, President Thapa stated that past mistakes must be corrected and the mess of the past must be cleaned up. Mentioning that there is hunger in the stomach, dreams in the eyes, and a plan to move forward with determination, President Thapa stated that the party is united and there are no problems. He arrived in Banke today as part of a program to address Congress gatherings focused on the elections.
