Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa Challenges Rival Parties to Debate on Five-Year Development Plan

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has stated that he is ready to debate with all parties regarding the work to be done over the next five years following the House of Representatives elections.

Speaking at a party election rally in Surkhet, Karnali, on Thursday, President Thapa even invited the CPN-UML and the Communist Party of Nepal for a debate.

'Let's discuss the country's development on a single platform. I propose this to the CPN-UML and the Communist Party of Nepal,' said President Thapa, 'But they are not ready.'

President Thapa also stated that Congress will not say that others ruined the country and that he will fix it upon coming to power. He urged the people of Karnali to give Congress a chance from 082 to 87 BS, promising that if given the opportunity, they would usher in a golden era for the nation. 'Give Congress a chance from 082 to 087 BS. If you give us a chance, we will create a golden era. We will improve Nepal in 5 years,' said President Thapa.

He mentioned that Congress has set goals based on a vision and asserted that they will fulfill those goals if given the opportunity.
