Tipper Truck Accident in Palpa Claims Driver's Life

Butwal. The driver of a tipper truck died in an accident in Palpa. According to the District Police Office, Palpa, the accident occurred this morning on the internal unpaved road section in Raina Devi Chhahara Rural Municipality-1.

Police stated that the tipper truck with license plate Lu 2 Kha 2001, traveling from Siddheshwor towards Sandeva, lost control and fell about 200 meters down the road.

The driver, 48-year-old Khimbahadur Somai, a resident of Raina Devi Chhahara Rural Municipality-3, Bhuwanpokhari, who was seriously injured in the accident, was immediately rescued by a police team and sent to Lumbini Medical College Prabhas for treatment. Police informed that doctors at the hospital declared him dead after examination. The District Police Office, Palpa, has stated that further investigation into the incident is underway.
