Minister Sinha Stresses Need for Modern Policy, Technology, and Investment-Friendly Environment for Nepali Film Industry Growth

Kathmandu. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Anil Kumar Sinha, stated that a modern policy, technology, and an investment-friendly environment are essential for the development of the Nepali film sector.

Speaking at the 'Virat Film and Music Award-2082' program organized by Celebrity Nepal Foundation on Wednesday, he mentioned that the commercialization and development of this sector would greatly contribute to job creation, tourism promotion, cultural preservation, and economic growth.

Stating that quality films, policy reforms, and infrastructure development can make the film industry professional and self-reliant, Minister Sinha emphasized the need to eliminate existing malpractices in this sector and create an investment-friendly atmosphere. He noted that film entrepreneurs must create an environment that takes Nepali cinema to the international market and brings audiences to the theaters.

Film Development Board Chairman Dinesh DC emphasized the need to implement timely new policies and laws for the broader development of the film sector.

Coordinator Suraj Paudel informed that the program was organized with the objective of promoting talent for the development of this sector. On the occasion, film journalist Krishna Bhattarai was honored with the 'Journalism Award'.
