Two Killed in Collision on East-West Highway in Makwanpur

Makwanpur. Two people died in a vehicle accident that occurred on Wednesday morning in Bastipur, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-19, along the East-West Highway. Both individuals riding the motorcycle with registration number Na. 43 Pa 221 died after being hit by a vehicle whose number could not be ascertained at the time.

The deceased in the accident have been identified as 22-year-old Sanjit Syangtan and 18-year-old Amos Thing, both residents of Raksirang Rural Municipality-1, Makwanpur. They were rushed to Churehill Hospital in Hetauda for immediate treatment after being critically injured in the collision. Police stated that they died during treatment at the hospital.

The vehicle that caused the collision and its driver fled the scene immediately after the accident. Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area surrounding the scene and questioning eyewitnesses to identify the fleeing vehicle.

The District Police Office stated that the search for the absconding driver has been intensified, and necessary legal investigation regarding the accident is underway.
