Veteran Screenwriter Salim Khan Showing Gradual Improvement After Hospitalization in Mumbai

Mumbai. The health condition of Salim Khan, renowned Hindi cinema screenwriter and father of actor Salman Khan, is gradually improving. He was admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday morning after experiencing a health issue in his brain.

The 90-year-old Khan was initially brought to the hospital's emergency room, where a special team of doctors examined his health. According to the hospital, he was placed on ventilator support following a brain hemorrhage, but recent reports indicate his condition is stable and improving.

Actor Ejaz Khan visited the hospital on Friday to inquire about Salim Khan's health. Speaking to journalists, he stated that Salim Khan is currently in the ICU and might be discharged by next Monday if everything remains normal.

On Wednesday, doctors performed a Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) test on him. This is an advanced testing method to determine the condition of the blood vessels and detect potential blockages, rather than brain surgery. Following the test, his condition appeared stable, and the medical team is continuously monitoring him.

Salim Khan's family wishes to maintain privacy regarding his health status. Salman Khan and his family expressed dissatisfaction with the hospital's public medical update on Wednesday.

According to the family, health matters are strictly private, and the right to disclose information about them should remain with the family. Therefore, the hospital has not issued any new official bulletin. Nevertheless, a crowd of veteran Bollywood artists has gathered at the hospital to visit him.

Celebrities including Ranveer Singh, Farah Khan, and Yulia Vantur visited the hospital on Friday. Actor Ranveer Singh, who recently received threats from the Lawrence gang, arrived at the hospital under tight security.

Salim Khan, born in 1935, began his acting career with the film 'Baraat' in the 1960s. After working in about two dozen films, he realized his aptitude lay more in writing than acting and moved into screenwriting. He has given Bollywood many historic and successful films.
