Madhesh Province Chief Extends Greetings on 75th National Democracy Day, Calls for Strengthening Democratic Values

Dhanusha. Madhesh Province Chief Surendra Labh Karna extended best wishes on the occasion of the 75th National Democracy Day, calling for further strengthening democratic values and principles. Mentioning that the 2007 revolution ended the autocratic rule and laid the foundation for modern Nepal, he paid tribute to the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the achievement of democracy.

Province Chief Karna stated that the country has reached the height of a federal democratic republic standing on the foundation laid seven decades ago. In his message of best wishes, he depicted Madhesh as a land of sacrifice, recalling that this region has always stood at the forefront in favor of justice, equality, and identity.

He urged everyone to unite in building an equitable society while preserving the cultural diversity and social harmony of the province. He emphasized that there must be a common commitment from all sides to make democracy inclusive and people-oriented, not limiting it merely to a political system.

Province Chief Karna interpreted the upcoming House of Representatives election as an important opportunity to strengthen democracy. He also requested the general public to exercise their rights and participate wisely and actively in the upcoming elections.

He expressed his belief that the system will only become stronger when citizens faithfully fulfill their civic responsibilities alongside the rights granted by democracy. He expressed hope that Democracy Day will further strengthen the common resolve for mutual harmony, fraternity, and development.
