Jeep Driver Arrested for Assaulting Pedestrian in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. Traffic police have taken a jeep driver into custody for assaulting a pedestrian on the street. SSP Navaraj Adhikari of the Metropolitan Traffic Police Office told Ratopati that Paras Bam, a resident of Baluwatar, was taken into custody.

He informed that Bam, who got out of the jeep with license plate Ba.3 Cha 1103 and slapped a pedestrian, had a video that went viral on social media. SSP Adhikari further shared that Bam has been sent to the District Police Range, Kathmandu, for investigation into the incident.

Following the video's broadcast on social media, the District Police Range, Kathmandu, and the Traffic Police launched a search for the jeep driver. It was discovered that the incident occurred near the Chappal Factory in Kathmandu.

The video shows Bam getting out of the jeep and slapping the pedestrian twice, saying, "Hey drunkard, what did you say?" The woman accompanying him is also seen telling the pedestrian, "Should we hit you with slippers?"
