Home Minister Assures Impartial, Fearless Environment for Upcoming Federal Elections

Kathmandu. Home Minister Onprakash Aryal stated that the government will leave no stone unturned to ensure the upcoming House of Representatives elections are conducted in a clean, impartial, and fear-free environment.

During a discussion at the ministry today with officials from the Nepal Municipal Association, the National Rural Municipalities Federation Nepal, and the District Coordination Committee Federation Nepal regarding peace, security, elections, and contemporary issues, he clarified that the 'Concept for Enhancing Coordination and Cooperation up to the Ward Level for Well-Managed Election Management, 2082' has been prepared and implemented.

The Home Minister's secretariat informed that during the discussion, the heads and officials of the umbrella organizations of local levels stated they are playing a coordinated role from their respective positions to ensure the elections are held in a clean, impartial, and fear-free environment.

Participants in the discussion included Home Secretary Rajkumar Shrestha, Chief Investigation Director Tekendra Karki, Nepal Municipal Association Chairman Bhimprasad Dhungana, National Rural Municipalities Federation Nepal Chairperson Laxmidevi Pandey, District Coordination Committee Federation Executive Director Bharatkumar Bhattarai, and Home Ministry's Security and Coordination Division Chief Anand Kafle.
