National Assembly Member Demands Fearless, Impartial, and Fraud-Free Upcoming Elections

Kathmandu. National Assembly member Sharadadevi Bhatta has demanded that the government conduct the upcoming elections in a fearless, impartial, and fraud-free environment. With only 20 days remaining until the elections, she drew the government's attention to maintaining the sanctity and integrity of the polls.

Speaking during the National Assembly meeting on Friday, member Bhatta stated that the country is currently on the verge of elections and successfully conducting them is the government's primary responsibility. She particularly emphasized that no form of terror, fear, or insecurity should be created in the election process.

Addressing the government through the Chair, she suggested conducting the elections with restraint in line with ethical policies. Bhatta opined that the impartiality of the elections strengthens the foundation of democracy, and therefore, state mechanisms must be active to ensure a fraud-free process.
