Nepali Congress Protests Relocation of Taxpayer Service Office in Rautahat

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress has staged a sit-in protest against the attempt to move goods from the Taxpayer Service Office in Gaur, Rautahat, to Simara. The Congress Madhesh Province Committee staged the protest in front of the office in Gaur, blocking a truck brought to transport the goods.

Nitesh Kumar Gupta, Coordinator of the Congress Madhesh Province Publicity Committee, informed that the protest was organized as per the decision of the provincial working committee, citing that the government is moving the office in a way that will directly affect the services available to the public.

He also stated that it is objectionable to remove materials from an office directly related to public service without any clear information. Congress workers have also unloaded the goods loaded onto the truck.
