Zelensky Urges US to Increase Pressure on Russia for Peace Talks Progress

Kyiv. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on the United States to exert more pressure on Russia to end the war. However, it remains unclear whether Moscow will participate in the US-mediated peace talks scheduled for next week.

President Zelensky confirmed Ukraine's readiness to participate in the meeting, asserting that the two rounds of tripartite talks held last month failed to achieve success. He stated that since both Ukraine and the US share responsibility for this, pressure must be applied to Russia to ensure the upcoming talks are successful.

Earlier, President Zelensky had expressed a desire to end the four-year-long war between Russia and Ukraine by June. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov mentioned that talks for resolving the Ukrainian crisis are still ongoing, but many coordinations remain to be done.
