Prime Minister Karki Directs Security Forces to Ensure Flawless Election Security

Kathmandu. Prime Minister Sushila Karki has directed the security forces to remain vigilant so that there are no lapses whatsoever in election security.

Addressing the Division Commanders' Coordination Meeting that began today at the Army Headquarters, Jangi Adda, on the eve of Mahashivaratri and Army Day, Prime Minister Karki directed that even if there were some shortcomings in the past, such situations should not arise now. 

Karki said, 'To complete this election safely, analyze the experiences of previous elections and the various dimensions of the upcoming election, and work flawlessly in coordination with all security agencies based on security sensitivities.'

Prime Minister Karki clarified that she is fully confident that the responsibilities assigned to the Nepali Army according to the 'Integrated Security Plan for the House of Representatives Election, 2082' approved by the Government of Nepal will be executed excellently to complete the election in a secure environment.  She urged for providing security guarantees to the public and creating an environment for the political activities of all political parties to operate without obstruction, directing them to move forward with a clear action plan in collaboration with other agencies.
