CPN-UML Candidate Devraj Ghimire Blends Traditional Canvassing with Digital Outreach in Jhapa-2 Campaign

Kathmandu. Devraj Ghimire, the candidate representing CPN-UML in Jhapa Constituency-2, has stated that his election campaign is technology-friendly. Ghimire, who is also the outgoing Speaker of the House of Representatives, is actively utilizing digital platforms alongside the traditional door-to-door canvassing style this time around.

Ghimire has sought direct participation from local residents in preparing his election manifesto (manifesto). To achieve this, he has published a QR code and a website link, inviting suggestions from voters in Jhapa Constituency No. 2.

According to Ghimire, this technology is being adopted to incorporate the real problems and needs of the people into the commitment letter to be prepared for the upcoming term (2082-87 BS). The notice issued by Ghimire's secretariat stated, "We will make the suggestions of the mothers, brothers, and sisters of Jhapa Constituency No. 2 our roadmap."

Ghimire, who became the Speaker after being elected from the same constituency in the last election, is being presented this time as an 'experienced' and 'technology-friendly' candidate. During his voter meetings, he has committed to discussing issues of local development, infrastructure, and education, while also giving high priority to constructive suggestions received through digital means.
