Shanghai Woman Repeatedly Redirects Traffic Mirror Over Feng Shui Fears, Causing Series of Accidents

Shanghai. A woman in Shanghai repeatedly turned a road traffic mirror, claiming her poor health and misfortune were due to a disrupted 'Feng Shui,' leading to a series of car accidents in the neighborhood.

The woman repeatedly changed the direction of the mirror, which had been in front of her house for a decade, due to the superstition that it was emitting 'negative energy.' According to the woman's husband, after her health deteriorated recently, they consulted a Feng Shui expert who identified the mirror as the root of the problem.

Comparing it to the 'demon-revealing mirror' (demon-revealing mirror) in Chinese mythology used to identify demons in human form, the couple claimed that the mirror facing their house was bringing misfortune. When neighbors pointed out that the mirror was essential for driver safety, the management committee mediated by adding another mirror on the opposite side of the road.

Although she initially agreed, the woman again altered the direction of both mirrors as soon as she felt her luck worsening, causing vehicles to collide and crash at the bend.

Despite attempts by neighbors and the management committee to reason with the woman, who was deeply invested in the belief that aligning the flow of wind and water through Feng Shui brings happiness and prosperity, she refused to comply. Eventually, the police were called, and they initiated legal action against her for damaging public property and endangering lives, issuing a stern warning.

Local residents in Shanghai are currently heavily criticizing the woman on social media, stating that such antics in the name of Feng Shui could potentially cost someone their life.
