Rastriya Prajatantra Party Assistant General Secretary Saurindra Bahadur Shah Resigns Citing Discontent with Party Leadership

Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Assistant General Secretary Saurindra Bahadur Shah has announced his resignation from his post. He announced his resignation citing dissatisfaction with the methods and procedures of party operation.

Shah informed Ratopati on Sunday that he has already informed the party about his resignation. He believes that instead of institutionalizing the agenda of a constitutional monarchy and a Hindu nation, the party leadership is preoccupied with personal interests.

He also shared information about his resignation through social media. He wrote on social media, 'I hereby inform that I have resigned from all posts and membership of RPP as of today's date. My heartfelt thanks to all the leaders and cadres who supported me for the past three and a half years! There are thousands of honest leaders and cadres across the country in RPP. But I realized that it was impossible to find my place amidst the contradictory character of the leadership level.'

He stated that for him, the nation and the people are above all else. 'The party is secondary to the nation. I will always work honestly in the interest of the nation,' he said.

Some time ago, RPP Central Committee member Hikmatjung Karki had also left the party expressing dissatisfaction with the party leadership's working style.
