Twenty-Five Detained in Surkhet for Violating Election Code of Conduct

‎‎Surkhet. Surkhet police have taken 25 individuals from a group named 'The Dangerous School' into custody for allegedly violating the election code of conduct. District Police Office Surkhet's Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohan Jung Budhathapa stated that 25 youths affiliated with the group 'The Dangerous School' (THE DANGEROUS SKULL) were apprehended on Saturday afternoon near Dhuliabitta in Birendranagar Municipality-11, at the Tinkuune Chowk junction.

‎‎According to him, the group, based in Tatapani, Birendranagar-3, organized a motorcycle rally carrying black and white flags without permission from the local administration. He said, 'During the rally, they disturbed public peace and added to security challenges by engaging in activities prohibited by the upcoming election's code of conduct and election laws.'

‎‎Immediately following the incident, a special police team of 30 personnel dispatched from the District Police Office Surkhet and the Municipal Police Office took them into custody at approximately 2:50 PM. Eight motorcycles and four scooters were also recovered from those arrested.

‎‎Budhapa stated that anyone organizing unauthorized rallies that disrupt peace and security during the election period and violate the code of conduct will be brought under the legal framework. 'Further investigation is underway regarding the 25 individuals taken into custody,' he added.
