Dr. Karma Wangchu Sherpa Honored in Kathmandu for Receiving Honorary Doctorate from US University

Kathmandu. Dr. Karma Wangchu Sherpa, who received an honorary doctorate from Wilmington Metropolitan University in the United States, has been honored. Sherpa was felicitated at a program organized in Kathmandu on Saturday.

At the program organized by Kulung Sherwi Kidug, discussions were held regarding Dr. Sherpa's academic achievements, social contributions, and the role he played in promoting the identity of Nepali society at the international level.

The event saw a significant presence of representatives from various organizations, intellectuals, social workers, and distinguished personalities. Speakers noted that the honor received by Dr. Sherpa has further elevated the prestige of the Nepali community internationally, describing his contribution as inspirational.

After receiving the honor, Dr. Sherpa stated that he considers this recognition a shared achievement for the entire Nepali society and the Sherpa community, rather than a personal accomplishment. The program was held in the presence of former minister Angchiring Sherpa as the chief guest.
