Nepali Congress Jhapa-5 Committee Denies Alliance Talks, Urges Supporters to Ignore Rumors

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress Jhapa-5 committee has urged the public not to follow misleading and fabricated rumors, stating that no discussions regarding an alliance with any other party have taken place.

Regional President Dhundiraj Bhandari issued a statement on Wednesday, noting that the party has taken note of some individuals attempting to create confusion among cadres and voters by spreading fabricated news on social media during the election period.

‘The Central President of the Nepali Congress, Gagan Kumar Thapa, has already made it clear that there will be no alliance with any other party before the election. Congress remains firm on its commitment. Well-wishers and cadres are requested not to follow any confusion or rumors,’ the statement read.

The statement called upon all cadres to unite for election-focused programs to ensure the victory of the party's candidate, Mandhara Chimoriya Poudyal, by a large margin in the House of Representatives election scheduled for Baisakh 21, 2082 BS.

The party urged general voters to vote for the Congress election symbol, the tree, and to disregard misleading rumors.
