Western Disturbance Affects Nepal, Fog and Clouds Expected in Several Regions

Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that a partial influence of the Western Disturbance is currently affecting Nepal. Due to this influence, fog and mist have occurred in some areas of the Terai region of Sudurpashchim Province.

Partial cloud cover is present in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as the mountainous areas of Karnali Province and Sudurpashchim Province. The weather in the remaining areas is mainly clear.

This afternoon, fog and mist will persist in some areas of the Terai region. Generally cloudy conditions will prevail in the hilly and mountainous areas of Karnali Province and Sudurpashchim Province. Partial cloud cover will be seen in Koshi Province and the remaining mountainous regions. There is a possibility of light snowfall and rain in one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Karnali Province and Sudurpashchim Province.

Fog will be present in a few places in the Terai region today. Generally cloudy conditions will prevail in the hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, and the weather in the remaining areas will be mainly clear. 

The Department has indicated a possibility of light snowfall and rain in one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces.
