Western Low-Pressure System Partially Affecting Nepal, Fog Expected in Terai Regions

Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that a western low-pressure system is currently having a partial impact on Nepal. Due to this influence, fog and mist are present in some parts of the Terai region.

Partial cloud cover is observed in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Gandaki Province, Karnali Province, and Sudurpaschim Province, while the weather in other areas is generally clear.

This afternoon, fog and mist will persist in many parts of the Terai region. Partial cloud cover is expected in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, while the weather in the remaining areas will be mostly clear.

There is a possibility of light snowfall accompanied by rain in one or two locations in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, fog will be present in a few locations in the Terai region. The department has indicated that there will be partial cloud cover in Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces.
