National Assembly Chairman Stresses Need for Political Cooperation to Enhance House Effectiveness

Kathmandu. Chairman of the National Assembly, Narayan Prasad Dahal, has stated that the cooperation of all political parties is essential to make the National Assembly functional and result-oriented. While delivering a congratulatory speech on the occasion of the 19th session of the National Assembly on Friday, he committed to operating the house in line with the feelings and expectations of the public.

Chairman Dahal emphasized that the lawmakers must play a more systematic and effective role in the coming days to enhance the dignity of the National Assembly. He said that the work of lawmaking should be intensified to address the needs and sentiments of the people. 'I have the belief that all political parties will provide the necessary advice and support to make this session successful,' Dahal said.

During his address, Chairman Dahal also thanked the Government of Nepal and other bodies that have supported the construction of the physical infrastructure of the assembly. He mentioned that the National Assembly should not only focus on lawmaking but also play a significant role in keeping the government's activities public-oriented and effective. Stating that enhancing the dignity of the assembly is his main priority, he wished for the complete success of the 19th session.
