State Minister Aryal enquires about health condition of Dr Devkota


Kathmandu – Minister of State for Health, Padma Aryal, has enquired about health condition of senior neurosurgeon, Dr Upendra Devkota, who is suffering from gall bladder cancer. 


State Minister Aryal today reached at Bansbari-based Neuro Hospital, where Dr Devkota is undergoing treatment, and enquired about Devkota's health condition. 


On the occasion, Minister Aryal expressed commitment that the government would provide all possible support for his treatment. 


Earlier, Chairman of CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and Coordinator of Naya Shakti Party Nepal, Dr Baburam Bhattarai, also enquired about health condition of Dr Devkota. 


Dr Devkota returned home few days ago after undergoing treatment in London. 
Meanwhile, Nepali Congress leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Bimalendra Nidhi today reached at Bansbari-based Neuro Hospital and wished Prof Dr Yagya Adhikari and Dr Upendra Devkota for their speedy recovery. 


Former Executive Director of Centre for Nepal and Asian Studies (CNAS), Dr Adhikari, is undergoing treatment at Neuro Hospital for the past three days after suffering from brain disease.

Dr Adhikari was elected as President of Tribhuvan University from Nepal Student Union in the election of Free Students Union held in 2036 BS for the first time.
