Sport has made Nepal famous: Member Secretary Bista

Khotang – National Sports Council Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista has said Nepal's popularity in the world is due to sport. 

"If anything has made Nepal popular in the world it is sport," he said, adding "Even without good food to eat, even if we have to walk on naked foot Nepali athletes have the ability to defeat countries of the likes of the US and Britain. Nepal is famous in the world owing to the medium of sport." 

Bista inaugurated the 10th Presidential Running Shield Competition on Monday in Dikktel of Khotang district. He insisted on making sport a medium to make Nepal famous in the world rather than only relying on Mt Everest and Gautam Buddha.
