Saiyara Becomes a Streaming Sensation After Theatrical Run

The film "Saiyara," directed by Mohit Suri, was first released in movie theaters on July 18th. It featured a new pair of actors, Ahan Pande and Anit Padka, in a romantic drama. The movie was promoted as a classic love story and was compared to famous romantic films from the past like "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge," "Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai," and "Veer-Zaara."

Breaking Records on Netflix

"Saiyara" became available on Netflix and other streaming platforms on September 12th. It has since set a new record. Just five days after its release on Netflix, it became the most-watched film on the service. It made history in the non-English language category by outperforming the German film "Far For Me" to claim the number one spot on Netflix's global top 10 list. It has managed to surpass films starring major Bollywood stars like Manoj Bajpayee, Vijay Deverakonda, John Abraham, and Kajol.

Global and Indian Viewership Numbers

According to reports, "Saiyara" received an impressive 3.7 million views in a single week. The film "Far For Me," which is in second place, also received 3.7 million views. Manoj Bajpayee's "Inspector Jhande" is in third place on the global list, while the South Korean romantic comedy "Love Untangled" is in fourth.

In India, "Saiyara" also holds the number one position on Netflix's top 10 films list. "Inspector Jhande" is in second place, followed by "Kingdom Empire" in third, and "Metro These Days" in fourth.

Box Office Success

Even before its online success, "Saiyara" was a major financial hit in theaters. It is one of the highest-grossing films of 2025. The film earned 398.25 crore rupees in India and a total of 569.75 crore rupees worldwide.
