HoR session: MP Singh demands Health Minister Paudel’s resignation

Kathmandu, March 6 — The resignation of Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel has been demanded in the meeting of the House of Representatives.

Independent lawmaker Dr. Amresh Kumar Singh raised the issue during a special address in today's session, calling for the resignation of Minister Paudel.

Lawmaker Singh accused Minister Paudel of not promoting Dr. Sangita Mishra to the position of secretary at the ministry, despite her seniority, alleging that it was due to her Madhesi background.

As a result, he called for Minister Paudel's resignation.

The Cabinet meeting on Wednesday had decided to promote Dr. Bikash Devkota to the position of secretary.
