Fire extinguished after gas leak during borehole drilling in Tikathali (photos)

Lalitpur, March 4 — A fire that broke out from gas released during drilling near the Godawari River in Tikathali, Lalitpur, has been extinguished.

The fire started around 8:30 AM and was brought under control by 11:40 AM.

Although the fire has been extinguished, gas is still leaking from the site.

According to locals, the fire occurred when gas was released during the drilling process for water.

The flames were seen rising from the drilling pipe itself, and the fire started after drilling approximately 900 feet deep.
