NC leader Bishwakarma doubts passage of ordinance in current form

Butwal, March 3 — Nepali Congress central committee member Meen Bishwakarma has stated that the ordinances introduced by the government is unlikely to pass in its current form.
Speaking at an interview session in Butwal on Monday, Bishwakarma mentioned that while the government had discussed the ordinance with the Nepali Congress party, disagreements among political parties in Parliament would prevent it from being passed.
He said, "The Prime Minister did discuss the ordinances with Nepali Congress ministers, but now, it seems unlikely to reach a consensus in Parliament, making it impossible to pass in its current form."
He further added that while the government has the constitutional right to issue an ordinance, the need for it is perceived differently.
He suggested that if the ordinance is not passed as is, a replacement bill might be introduced and go through the parliamentary process for approval.
