Controversy in KP Oli Cup match as players clash with referee (photos)

Kathmandu, February 25 — A controversial moment unfolded during the KP Oli Cup match on Tuesday as players from Sankata Football Club clashed with the referee after a red card incident.
The dispute started when Sankata's Obosu Boateng fouled APF's Alik Shrestha, leading referee Gyan Bahadur Tamang to show a straight red card.
In response, foreign players from Sankata FC approached the referee angrily and attempted to engage in physical altercation.
Sankata’s captain, Deep Karki, had to step in to separate the players and calm the situation.
Despite the controversy, the match proceeded, and Sankata FC secured a spot in the semifinals after defeating APF 5-3 in a penalty shootout.
