Shrestha claims attempt to obstruct his speech in Jhapa

Chitwan, February 25 — Senior Vice Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center), Narayan Kaji Shrestha, has stated that an attempt was made to obstruct him from speaking during the launch of the Maoist Terai-Madhesh Awakening Campaign.
While speaking to the media in Chitwan on Tuesday, Shrestha explained that when he began his speech at the inauguration ceremony at the request of Chairman Prachanda, a psychological obstruction was created, which led him to halt his remarks.
He urged everyone to take the incident in stride and reaffirmed his commitment to reorganizing the party under Prachanda’s leadership and moving forward in a unified manner.
Shrestha also clarified that the event would not affect the Maoist Terai-Madhesh Awakening Campaign and expressed a desire to publicly apologize for any negative impact on the feelings of party leaders, activists, and well-wishers.
He expressed confidence that the campaign initiated under Chairman Prachanda's leadership would be extraordinarily successful.
