Foreign Minister Dr Deuba, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan meet

Kathmandu, February 24 — Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba and Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov held a bilateral meeting today in Geneva.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 58th high-level session of the United Nations Human Rights Council.
During the meeting, both sides discussed bilateral interests and mutual concerns.
Minister Dr. Rana congratulated Azerbaijan on successfully hosting the 29th UN Climate Change Conference, acknowledging their efforts.
Minister Dr. Rana highlighted that both Nepal and Azerbaijan, as members of the NAM and G77 organizations, have been jointly raising issues faced by developing countries on international platforms.
She also praised Azerbaijan’s commitment to addressing climate change, expressing hope that both nations will continue to raise the impact of climate change on developing countries in future international forums.
Furthermore, Minister Dr. Rana invited Azerbaijan to participate in the upcoming "Sagarmatha Sambad" program in May, where climate change, the Himalayas, and the future of humanity will be the central theme, with high-level international participation.
