CPN (US) General Secretary Bhusal claims party never endorsed MCC

Kathmandu, February 24 — General Secretary of the CPN (Unified Socialist) Ghanashyam Bhusal has stated that his party has never endorsed the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) as being acceptable.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday to reveal the decisions of the party's central committee meeting, Bhusal clarified that the party has never declared the MCC to be appropriate.
"We have never institutionalized support for the MCC," Bhusal said. "Let the world know that for CPN (Unified Socialist), the MCC was never acceptable."
He also mentioned that while the proposal on how the MCC could be considered acceptable had been raised, there may have been some weaknesses in the explanatory comments.
Bhusal made it clear that the party remains institutionally opposed to the MCC, citing concerns such as the audit of the MCC and reservations on various aspects.
