Cabinet meeting at 5 PM: Will NEA chief Kulman be fired?

Kathmandu, February 24 — A regular meeting of the Council of Ministers is scheduled to be held today at 5 PM at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar, according to the Prime Minister's Secretariat.
As the meeting approaches, discussions have started regarding a potential decision to remove Kulman Ghising, the Executive Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
The government is reportedly displeased with Ghising for not following its directives.
Energy Minister Deepak Khadka had previously stated in Parliament that Ghising had ignored government instructions and was engaged in publicity activities.
According to sources, Minister Khadka had already proposed Ghising’s removal in a previous Cabinet meeting.
Upon hearing this, the main opposition party, CPN (Maoist Center), has alleged that the government is attempting to remove Ghising through a conspiracy.
