NC General Convention will be held as scheduled: Gagan Thapa

Kathmandu, February 21 — The General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, Gagan Thapa, has stated that the party's General Convention will be held as scheduled.

Speaking with the media in Biratnagar on Friday, he mentioned that preparations for the convention have already begun, and it will be completed within the designated time frame.

Thapa urged party leaders and workers to focus on party organization and other responsibilities during times other than the convention.

He emphasized that the party should develop a system of competition only during the convention period.

Thapa also stressed the importance of accepting the democratic principle that those dissatisfied with a party's actions should be free to choose other parties, rather than merely criticizing the system.

He took the recent remarks from former King as an opportunity for political reflection and called for improvements in political conduct.

Thapa also mentioned that raising concerns against the government helps improve governance and prevents wrongdoings.
