CPN (US) Chairman Nepal denies possibility of party merger

Kathmandu, February 21 — The Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has stated that there is no possibility of merging with any party at present.

Addressing the ongoing second central committee meeting on Friday, Chairman Nepal urged members not to fall for the rumors about party unity.

Recently, CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Prachanda and Deputy General Secretary Barshaman Pun had stated that a merger with the Unified Socialist party would happen soon.

In response, Nepal clarified, "There has been a lot of propaganda linking our party with others, sometimes claiming that we will merge with UML, or sometimes with the Maoists. These are false rumors, and there is no need to fall for them."

He emphasized that the focus should be on strengthening his party, asserting that only by empowering the Unified Socialist party would it become a strong revolutionary force.
