RPP calls Central Working Committee meeting for Feb 27

Kathmandu, February 20 — The Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has called a meeting of its Central Working Committee, scheduled for Falgun 15 (February 27).
Party spokesperson Mohan Shrestha confirmed the date for the meeting.
Shrestha stated that the meeting will discuss several key issues, including the implementation of decisions from the previous Central Committee meeting, ongoing movements, and organizational activities.
He also mentioned that the video message delivered by former King Gyanendra Shah on Democracy Day will naturally be a topic of discussion in the meeting.
In his message, former King Shah called on the people of the country to contribute towards the nation’s progress, emphasizing the need for collective discipline and honest efforts for national defense.
He expressed, "We have previously made sacrifices for the resolution of national issues. Now, we are ready to make more sacrifices for Nepal’s advancement. If we are to protect the nation, maintain national unity, and ensure prosperity, we urge all citizens to support us."
Following Shah’s message, the monarchist RPP appears to be energized.
Party Chair Rajendra Lingden, in a conversation with Ratopati, expressed that the country’s welfare could be secured by integrating the monarchy in some form.
Lingden also stated that the former King’s message on Democracy Day was timely.
Lingden criticized the abolition of the monarchy and Hindu state, claiming that the nation has suffered significantly since then.
"The country has borne the burden of federalism, and it is clear that the removal of the monarchy has caused more harm than benefit. If the monarchy is given some space, it would be in the interest of everyone," he asserted.
He further stated that those who support the monarchy would eventually come together over time.
