Pakistan wins toss, elects to field first against New Zealand

Karachi, February 19 — Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first in the 1st match of Group A in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 between Pakistan and New Zealand is set to take place in Karachi today.
Pakistan Captain Mohammad Rizwan stated that they are not putting pressure on themselves by thinking of their status as defending champions.
Rizwan also mentioned that he expects dew to play a significant role as the match progresses.
In recent form, New Zealand has been dominant with four wins out of their last five matches, while Pakistan, despite a couple of losses, has shown resilience with three victories in their last five outings.
The match is scheduled to begin at 2:45 PM Nepali Standard Time.
