Light snowfall likely in high hilly and mountainous regions

Kathmandu, February 18 — Currently, the western wind and partial influence of a western low-pressure system are affecting the country.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated that there will be partial to moderate cloudiness in the Sudurpashchim and Karnali provinces. In some areas of the Terai, fog and mist have developed.
This afternoon, the weather in the country's hilly regions will be partly to moderately cloudy, while other regions will remain mostly clear with partial cloudiness.
There is a possibility of light snowfall in a few places in the higher hilly and mountainous regions.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division mentioned that light snowfall is likely in some areas of the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, Sudurpashchim provinces, and one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Bagmati province.
Additionally, fog/mist is expected in some areas of the Terai in the morning, which may partially affect daily life, health, road, and air transport.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division has urged the public to take necessary precautions to avoid any adverse effects.
