Man beaten to death at Bara rehabilitation center, 7 arrested

Kathmandu, February 14 — A man has died from a beating at a rehabilitation center in Bhawanipur, Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City-1, Bara.

According to Bara’s Superintendent of Police (SP) Santosh Tamang, the incident occurred at the Nawajanma Rehabilitation Center, where a man was beaten to death.

The deceased has been identified as Pradeep Prasad Mandal ‘Dhirendra’ from Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City-9.

In connection with the death, the police have arrested seven individuals involved in the assault.

The arrested individuals include both staff members of the rehabilitation center and seven inmates.

An investigation into the incident has already begun, as confirmed by SP Tamang.
