LSP threatens to exit government over land ordinance issue

Kathmandu, February 13 — The chairman of the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party (LSP)-Nepal, Mahantha Thakur, has warned that the party will exit the government if the land-related ordinance is not amended.

Thakur stated that the ordinance brought by the federal government is against the interests of Madhesh and that it is unacceptable under any circumstances.

He emphasized that the party is committed to protecting the rights, identity, and dignity of Madhesh, and warned that protest programs will be initiated if the ordinance is not corrected.

LSP-Nepal spokesperson Manish Mishra also confirmed that the party chairman has made it clear that the party will leave the government if the ordinance is not amended.
