Government spokesperson claims all ordinances will pass
Kathmandu, February 12 — The government has claimed that all ordinances, including the one related to land, will be passed by the federal parliament.
In a press conference held at Singha Durbar on Wednesday, government spokesperson Prithvi Subba Gurung stated that all the ordinances brought by the government, including the land-related one, will be approved by the parliament.
He addressed rumors regarding the non-passage of the land ordinance and clarified that the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Nepal has not made any official decision on the matter.
He also mentioned that discussions are ongoing with political parties to reach an agreement on the ordinances, acknowledging that the country is in a transitional phase.
Regarding the Social Media Bill, which the government has already presented in the parliament, Gurung added that any amendments to the bill or its passage would be determined by the parliament itself.
