Two arrested for cyber fraud
Kathmandu, February 4 — Two individuals have been arrested for involvement in cyber fraud by using fake emails from the Cyber Bureau, impersonating high-ranking police officials.
The arrested suspects, Manish Kumar Mehta and Indrajit Yadav from Sunsari, allegedly deceived victims by creating fear and demanding money under false pretenses.
The arrests were made after an investigation into complaints revealed their involvement.
According to a statement issued by the Bureau on Tuesday, they were apprehended with the support of the Sunsari District Police Office and brought to Kathmandu.
The court has granted them a seven-day remand for further investigation.
