Women's T20I Tri-Series: Netherlands defeat Nepal by 15 runs

Kirtipur, February 2 — Nepal Women’s cricket team faced a 15-run defeat against Netherlands Women in the 4th match of the Women's T20I Tri-Series. 

Batting first, Netherlands posted a target of 141 runs. In response, Nepal Women managed to score 125 runs only in the allotted 20 overs.

The Netherlands' top scorer was Babette de Leede, who made 41 runs from 38 balls, hitting 4 fours and 1 six. 

Heather Siegers contributed with 26 runs from 23 balls, including 3 fours and 1 six, while Robine Rijke added 21 runs from 15 balls, striking 4 fours. 

Phebe Molkenboer (21 runs from 16 balls) and Iris Zwilling (7 runs from 5 balls) also provided valuable support. 

For Nepal Women,  Sita Magar took 5 wickets for just 12 runs in her 3 overs.

Manisha Upadhayay claimed 2 wickets for 31 runs in 4 overs. 

For Nepal, Samjhana Khadka (23 off 25) and Indu Barma (30 off 32) were the key contributors with the bat.

Despite a late surge from Sita Magar (10 off 6) the chase ended at 125/8 in 20 overs.

Caroline de Lange was the standout bowler for Netherlands, claiming 2 wickets for 31 runs in her 4 overs.

Heather Siegers (2/10) and Iris Zwilling (2/15) also played crucial roles in restricting Nepal’s chase.
