RPP Chair Lingden calls for investigation into Nepal Police IGP

Kathmandu, January 31 — Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden has called for an investigation into the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Nepal Police as well.

Speaking in the House of Representatives on Friday, Lingden stated that while it is natural for the government to investigate the assets of Rabi Lamichhane, similar investigations should be conducted into others as well.

"Is it not necessary to investigate the assets of other leaders, including the Prime Minister and his close associates?" Lingden asked. "Let's also look into my own and my family’s assets," he added.

However, he emphasized that such actions should not be used as a tool for personal grudges, suggesting that even the current IGP should be investigated.

Lingden also remarked that the issue of power misuse is something that should be questioned rather than simply investigating people without cause.
